NEW DELHI: The BSE Smallcap index was trading in the green in Tuesday’s morning session.
Shares of CARE Rating (up 16.96 per cent), AksharChem (India) (up 15.11 per cent), Bhansali Engineering Polymers (up 11.39 per cent), Emkay Global Financial Services (up 11.07 per cent), Bodal Chemicals (up 10.64 per cent), Kanoria Chemicals & Industries (up 10.32 per cent), Panama Petrochem (up 10.02 per cent), Bhartiya International (up 9.99 per cent), Time Technoplast (up 9.46 per cent), Gulf Petro (up 9.39 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Parsvnath Developers (down 7.79 per cent), Shiva Texyarn (down 6.05 per cent), TCNS Clothing (down 5.9 per cent), PG Electroplast (down 5.14 per cent), Seya Industries (down 4.98 per cent), Reliance Naval and Engineering (down 4.82 per cent), Sintex Industries (down 4.82 per cent), Sintex Plastic (down 4.81 per cent), Praxis Home Retail (down 4.8 per cent) and Unitech (down 4.76 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.25 per cent up at 13683.49 around 10:56 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty-50 index was down 50.10 points at 12205.75, while the BSE Sensex was 169.58 points at 41388.42.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Spicejet, SAIL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tata Motors, Adani Green Energy Ltd., Vakrangee , Sterlite Tech and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
