Samsung teases launch of new Galaxy phone in 11 Feb event announcement

Samsung on Sunday confirmed that it will launch its much-hyped and equally anticipated latest flagship phone of the year on 11 February, 2020. Touted as the new Samsung Galaxy S11 by many, and as a more upgraded Galaxy S20 by other ambitious tipsters all over social media, Samsung via twitter hinted to its audience all across the world with an early teaser of the next flagship smartphone’s arrival.

“Say hello to a whole new Galaxy,” read the tweet which the smartphone maker posted earlier today.

There are also reports that suggest that South Korean smartphone manufacturer may also unveil the new foldable successor to last year’s Galaxy Fold. But these are simply rumours and should be taken with a pinch of salt until the 11 February Samsung event.

Coming to the launch of the latest smartphone, according to several rumours and reported leaks, the Samsung’s S11 or S20, as considered by many will feature Qualcomm’s latest new 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor that can support up to two fingerprint scans at once.

The new sensor’s recognition area is 17 times larger, which should result in faster recognition with a single fingerprint in day-to-day use compared to what is possible with the first generation of Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, as reports suggested earlier.

Recently, an American tech blogger has claimed that the next-gen flaship smartphone from Samsung will be available in three screen sizes – 6.4 or 6.2-inch being the smallest, mid-sized with 6.4-inch and 6.7-inch being the largest one.

On the part of connectivity, the two small variants of the smartphone will reportedly come in 5G and LTE, whereas the largest 6.7-inch variant will be 5G only.
